During the last few weeks, Amazon has posted several adverts for jobs in Europe, which suggest an expansion of the e-retailers locker network is soon to see the light of day across the continent. The job ads include business development manager roles for Amazon Locker in Munich and Paris, European Union technical operations manager for Locker based in Luxembourg, and network development manager roles in Luxembourg, Munich and Paris, Reuters reports.

Cheaper Deliveries With Lockers
According to Reuters, Amazon already has parcel lockers located in the US and the UK. The lockers, which can be found in for example shopping malls, can be used by customers who want to pick up their parcel at a certain time of the day. The parcel is delivered to the locker where the customer later picks it up using a unique code.
Recently it also became clear that Amazon had widened its Uber-inspired Amazon Flex-service across the US, and the extension of the locker service goes well in line with Amazon’s overall plans on handling its own deliveries in order to make them cheaper, as well as being able to offer the customers additional delivery options.
As reported by Reuters, Amazon's shipping costs grew more than 18 percent to $11.5 billion last year.
