In 2015 H&M continued its online venture launching online stores in nine countries across Europe; Portugal, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Belgium and Switzerland.
Today the company announced it has launched its Shop Online in seven of the nine intended new online markets for 2016. Namely Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Luxembourg and Ireland.
Greece and Japan Still to Come
H&M’s Shop Online will offer the same collections online as in-store and there will also be exclusive "online-only" items available all year-round. But the Swedish fashion retailer will not only sell clothing. The launch will also include H&M Home, its home collection with seasonally selected products.
In its third quarter earnings release late last year H&M revealed its plans to offer e-commerce in nine more markets in 2016. Meaning that H&M’s Shop Online is planned to launch in Greece and Japan later this year.
