David Charles from Indiana, USA, has admitted that he repeatedly broke into the Indiana Medical History Museum. A medical museum that formerly served as a hospital for the insane, reports The Guardian.
There he stole jars containing brains and other human tissues according to the prosecutor's office in Marion County. He also stole an EKG machine, ten oscilloscope, a baby scale as well as a number of other historical objects. Some of this items he later sold online.
Sentenced to Earn a High School Diplom
David Charles was arrested in December 2013 after a San Diego man, who bought six jars of brain materials for $600 on Ebay, alerted the police after matching his new purchases to the items stolen from the museum.
The police was able to tie David Charles to the burglaries after finding his bloody fingerprint on a piece of paper inside the museum. In total, he stole more than 80 jars of human tissue and for this he was sentenced to one year of home detention and two years of probation. He must also earn a high school diploma or general educational development certificate under the sentencing agreement.
