Handmade at Amazon partners up with Martha Stewart to give artisans a special seal of approval.

Amazon's new store "Handmade at Amazon" that takes on the likes of Etsy now closes a partnership with American television celebrity Martha Stewart. Martha now opens her own store on Handmade at Amazon.

Amazon invites artisans to sell their unique, handcrafted goods to hundreds of millions of customers worldwide through Handmade at Amazon. The site that launched in August this year has grown to house more than 200,000 items from 10,000 artisans.

Martha's Seal of Approval

Martha Stewart American Made store is the name of Martha's section on Handmade at Amazon. It will feature artisans that are personally selected by Martha Stewart and the editors of Martha Stewart Living. The artisans featured in the store will also get a badge that shows that they have earned Martha’s personal seal of approval.

- We are thrilled to announce our relationship with Handmade at Amazon, where the Martha Stewart American Made store will highlight artisans and unique one-of-a kind handcrafted products—all made in America, said Martha Stewart, Chief Creative Officer and Founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

Artisans on Handmade at Amazon adds thousands of items a day, according to the company, and the new partnership with Martha seems to be a way, for consumers, to easier find certain artisans on the platform.

- The Martha Stewart American Made store is made up of artisans that have turned their passion for quality craftsmanship and well-designed goods into a way of life, and that’s a perfect match for the Handmade at Amazon experience we continue to build for customers, said Steve Johnson, Director for Amazon Marketplace.
