Successful Watch Brand Celebrates 2 Million Followers Daniel Wellington

Successful Watch Brand Celebrates 2 Million Followers

2016-03-08 15:53

By sharing customers’ pictures on Instagram the Swedish watch brand Daniel Wellington has managed to attract two million followers on Instagram.

Daniel Wellington was founded by the Swede Filip Tysander who saw a gap in the market for exclusive ever-in-style watches at reasonable prices. He came up with the name of the company when he was travelling in Australia and met a stylish gentleman with the name Daniel Wellington.

Filip Tysander is said to have started the company with savings of SEK200,000 (€21,500) and only a few years later Daniel Wellington has a revenue of approximately SEK1.5 billion (€160 million). Apart from the e-commerce side of the business, the classic watches are sold by several resellers around the world.

As if the successful revenue numbers weren’t enough, Daniel Wellington has now a different cause to celebrate. The e-retailer has reached two million followers on Instagram.

- We have just reached another incredible milestone on our favorite social media platform, Instagram. Not too long ago we celebrated 1 million followers and we cannot believe we are ready to celebrate another million. Daniel Wellington has reached 2 million followers! the company said on its web page.

Sharing Customers Pictures

The watch store’s recipe for a successful Instagram strategy, is according to the website to share pictures that have been posted by the account’s followers.

- Throughout the years we have been able to develop and enjoy an amazing community of followers. Everyday we share your photos because they fuel the imagination and creativity of our entire community. Your level of engagement with us makes everything we do so meaningful and exciting. We are beyond grateful to have such an active community of followers, said the site.

To celebrate the milestone of two million followers Daniel Wellington will host the campaign “Month of another Million”, which will involve several customer contests.

- We never would have achieved this feat if it weren’t for all of you. Since you are all such a huge part of our success, we would like to thank you by celebrating with you all month long.
