Toyota not only sells cars but also something that e-commerce owners love, Forklifts. Nothing gets the blood pumping like driving a great big Forklift around your warehouse.
Maybe it is this love that has pushed Toyota to invest in a new e-commerce site for its Forklift-division. Toyota Material Handling has rolled out a brand spanking new responsive e-commerce platform in Germany.
- We are working hard to simplify and help the customer find a truck that fits their needs. We know that many people start their shopping process online and that is why it has been important for us to build an e-commerce that both reach new customer groups, and also adds value to customers who later choose to contact our sales department, said says Cecilia Nilsson, E-Commerce Manager at Toyota Material Handling Europe.
"Pale in Comparison"
The new site is supposed to make other Business-to-Business e-commerce sites pale in comparison according to the supplier Avensia.
Episerver is the platform that the site is built on, and it focuses heavily on the customer experience and of course works great on both mobile, tablet and desktop. It also uses a product information management system from inRiver and a relevance engine from the company Apptus.
- To find, buy or rent a truck has never been easier, writes Anders Andersson, Marketing Manager at Avensia.
