US E-Commerce up 8.5 Percent so Far This November

New statistics from Adobe says US consumers spent nearly $27 billion online between the 1st and 24th of November.

The US online sales of November are so far up by 8.5 percent compared to same period last year and the avarage order value has over the same period of time increased by 7 percent to $125.63.

Mobile devices count for an estimated 24 percent of sales, and nearly half of all traffic to e-commerce websites is driven through mobile phones and tablets, according to Adobe.

Discounts Topping 20 Percent

In general consumers enjoy buying electronic equipment that often come with great discounts. Samsung and LG TVs, iPad Minis, Dyson vacuum cleaners, and Dell Inspiron computers are among the most popular products during the November sales.

- Discounts are currently averaging 21 percent and out-of-stock incidents are already higher than last year by five to ten percent. Consumers should shop early to secure popular gift items. Top selling products like the Xbox One, Samsung Gear VR, Star Wars’ Kylo Ren, and the GoPro HERO3 are already low in stock, said Tamara Gaffney, principal research analyst, Adobe Digital Index.

Amazon and eBay are leading the online retailing league with more than 20 million conversations regarding the two companies in social media througout the month of November. Amazon has during this time had more than 100,000 interactions concerning Black Friday alone.
